The N.C. State Wolfpack did a lot of things well against the Florida State Seminoles Tuesday night, which is why they left the gym with a 18-point win. The N.C. State forwards, T.J. Warren and C.J. Leslie, combined for 50 of their teams points and 23 of their team’s 39 rebounds.
Many analysts have given Warren the praise for his 31 points, but it was Leslie who dazzled the fans with his dunks. In fact, there were three dunks in particular that could, and perhaps should, be on ESPN’s top-10 plays of the day. Let’s take a look at each of them.
First, there is Leslie’s one-handed follow-up jam in the first half.
Then there was his one-handed power slam with 11 minutes to go in the second half.
Finally, with two minutes to go in the game, he sealed the win and gave the crowd another treat with an amazing alley-oop dunk off an inbounds pass.
This is the Wolfpack’s third straight win after they lost three straight. Coach Mark Gottfried was very pleased with his entire team after this win.
“I thought everyone played at a high level, and that’s what we need to win games like this,” he said via GoPack.com after the game.
N.C. State wont be able to catch the undefeated Miami, but they are only 3.5 games back from Duke. The Wolfpack must play rivals North Carolina Saturday on the road. I imagine Leslie will be prepared to dazzle again with some more spectacular dunks.
