Marquette and Buzz Williams Smiling Towards March

It is all smiles right now for coach Buzz Williams and his Marquette Golden Eagles. They are now 10-3 in the Big East and looking at running the table to win out and try to secure first place. This team is very mature as shown in the recent win over Seton Hall.

This Marquette team has manufactured its own energy especially on the road, thanks in part to Vander Blue, Devante Gardner, Jamil Wilson and Trent Lockett. When Gardner goes in to play, the Golden Eagles know what they are going to get. When Gardner, Lockett and Wilson play well, it opens Blue up to do his thing and be more flexible.

This team has really bought into rebounding this year which had been a nightmare the prior few seasons. The team and coaching staff have really emphasized this in practice, and it shows in the games as they continue to out-rebound their opponents.

When a team is playing well and having fun, they are dangerous. The Eagles are that type of team this year, which bodes well for them headed into March.  They are an exciting team to watch look ready to challenge for a Big East title and high seed in the NCAA Tournament. Be ready to see them make some noise.
