March Madness 2013 Will Be Most Unpredictable Tournament Ever
If you’ve watched any amount of college basketball this year you know there is no one great team. Sure, there are plenty of very good teams around the country but there is no one team where people can point to and say they are the favorites come NCAA tournament time.
Just look at what has gone on this year in college basketball and you’ll see how unpredictable it has been. No team can seem to stay atop the polls for more than a week in a row and any team that seems to make a run into the Top 25 seems to lose a few games in a row and get sent right back where they came from. Even the supposed best teams in the country have struggled at the top, Duke, Indiana, Louisville and Michigan have all taken turns at the top but have failed to sustain the number one spot recently. If Gonzaga can survive the weekend, they will take their shot at being the top team in the country for the first time in their history next week.
All this means is that fans are in for one heck of a March! Of course March Madness stands out as being one of the most unpredictable events in college sports anyway but this season it seems to be even crazier than ever. Let’s also not forget about conference tournaments where there should be plenty of upsets to add to all the excitement of March.
So when you’re filling out your brackets in a few weeks remember to have plenty of upsets because if this college basketball season has taught us anything, it’s to expect the unexpected. Good luck Gonzaga, you’re going to need it.
