The Kansas Jayhawks look primed to win their ninth straight Big 12 Conference title. With only three games left on their regular season schedule remaining, the Jayhawks have positioned themselves well.

Currently, the Jayhawks are tied with the Kansas State Wildcats who are also 12-3 in league play, follow by the Oklahoma State Cowboys who trail by a game.

Fortunately for Kansas Head Coach Bill Self, the Jayhawks swept the season series from the Wildcats and split the season series with the Cowboys.

So how do the Jayhawks win their ninth straight Big 12 regular season title?

Here is the breakdown.

The easy way for the Jayhawks to clinch at least a share of the Big 12 title is to win out. In that scenario, even if the Wildcats win out, they would share the Big 12 title.

However, the Jayhawks do have a slim margin for error. If Kansas should stumble against West Virginia, Texas Tech or Baylor in one of its last three games, they could still hold a share of the Big 12 crown.

The Jayhawks could lose one game if the Wildcats also lost to the Cowboys on March 9th, the last day of the Big 12 regular season. In that scenario, all three teams would be 14-4 and there would be a three way tie for conference supremacy.

Although the Jayhawks do have some wiggle room (if they get some help from the Cowboys), they do not want to finish the season that way.

Kansas would love nothing more than to head into the Big 12 conference tournament with an eight game winning streak and a possible Big 12 Tournament Championship and NCAA number one seed in their sights as well.
