Oklahoma State Cowboys Continue Cruising Along

With the NCAA Tournament less than three weeks away, teams like the Oklahoma State Cowboys are looking to get into position to make a deep run in the tournament. Oklahoma State continued a hot string of games lately with a 78-65 win over the Texas Longhorns on Saturday afternoon. The Cowboys have now won 10 of their last 11 games with the only loss being in double overtime. The thing that is impressive about this Cowboys team is that they have four players in double figures for the year and when any team can put together a group that includes four double-digit scorers especially at the college level, they are hard to beat.

Oklahoma State has just two regular season games left this year with their final game coming against the Kansas State Wildcats next Saturday. If the Cowboys can win out and get to at least the semifinals of the Big 12 Tournament, Oklahoma State will likely find themselves with a No. 3 or 4 seed in the tournament.

There aren’t going to be many things that slow down this team unless their balanced scoring gets shut down for a night but I don’t know how you could stop all their scoring. Markel Brown is a beast to deal with and Phil Forte off the bench puts three-point pressure on the opposition. When the time comes to fill out the bracket for this season’s NCAA Tournament, it is going to be very hard not to move Oklahoma State into the Sweet 16 at least.
