Ohio State Takes Three-Game Winning Streak Into Indiana on Tuesday

The first time that Ohio State played Indiana, the Buckeyes were in the midst of a little bit of a mid-season struggle.

The Hoosiers got the best of the Buckeyes, as part of a stretch that included Ohio State losing three of four games overall. As the month of March begins to kick into gear however, the Buckeyes are trending in a more positive direction. The only issue is that upward trend is headed straight to Bloomington where Ohio State is hoping to avoid a brick wall for the second time this season.

It certainly won’t be easy, especially considering that the Hoosiers can lock up an outright Big Ten regular season crown with a victory on Tuesday night.

With their recent momentum however, the key for Ohio State may ultimately lie in the hands of junior point guard Aaron Craft. Flashback to a week ago, Craft dug in when the Buckeyes needed him the most in a close-knit contest against Michigan State. Craft made play after play, scoring 21 points total and virtually leading Ohio State to a much-needed win.

Their three-game winning streak has catapulted them back into the conference discussion and although the Hoosiers have the advantage and best view from up top, there is no questioning the importance that this game also holds for Ohio State. The Buckeyes are one of four teams that are currently tied for second place in the conference standings. A win on Tuesday night would undoubtedly be a massive boost to their potential seeding, not only in the Big Ten Tournament, but also in theNCAA Tournament.

The Hoosiers lost their number one overall ranking last week after losing on the road to Minnesota, but Indiana has not lost at home since Jan. 15. In fact, that’s their only loss at home all season long.

It’s pretty obvious that a good one is brewing on Tuesday night in Bloomington. Tip-off is scheduled for 9:00pm (EST).
