The Marquette Golden Eagles are on a three-game winning streak heading into the final game of the season against the St. Johns Red Storm. Marquette should win this game and finish the season with a four-game winning streak.

Marquette is to the Big East what Wisconsin is to the Big 10: a team that isn’t flashy, but no one wants to play because they find themselves able to win every game. Fighting hard is what this team is good at doing and they will continue to do just that when entering the NCAA tournament and in the Big East tournament. The Golden Eagles do not like losing and the three overtime games they found themselves in (winning two of three) proves that. Marquette has the talent and willpower to succeed in the Big East tournament and carry that momentum into the NCAA tournament.

The Golden Eagles are tied for first in the Big East, definitely have a double-bye for the Big East tournament and should finish the season with a share of the Big East title. Marquette will be coming into both the Big East tournament and NCAA tournament with loads of added confidence.

More than any team in the Big East, Marquette was not expected to win a share of the Big East regular season title, but they did. They will also not be expected to go far in the NCAA tournament, but they will. The Golden Eagles are the type of team that can ride an end of the season hot streak to the Final Four.
