The Miami (FL) Hurricanes are the regular season ACC Men’s Basketball Champions for the first time ever. Miami solidified a first place finish in the ACC for the regular season with a victory against the Clemson Tigers yesterday. The score was 62-49. Prior to this victory, Miami had lost three of their last four games. Kenny Kadji led the way for Miami, posting 23 points and 12 rebounds.

This win was a great way to close out their best regular season for the basketball program. Miami has accomplished a great deal this season. For starters, they swept the North Carolina Tar Heels which was a first. Although Miami lost to the Duke Blue Devils a little over a week ago, they managed to whip Duke’s glutimus maximus easily when Duke was ranked No. 1.

Now, Miami has to prepare for the ACC Tournament, which begins later on this week. They will hold the No. 1 seed in the ACC Tournament. Miami cannot overlook any game because there is a great deal of parody within the conference. Although Miami and Duke are the favorites to become the 2013 ACC Champions, another team could possibly win it. Do not be surprised if North Carolina, North Carolina State, Florida State, Virginia or Maryland make a deep run in the ACC Tournament; let alone win it all.

If Miami wins the ACC Tournament, they may have the opportunity to become a No. 1 seed. If they lose in the quarterfinals or semifinals of this tournament, then they will become a No. 2 seed. Miami controls their fate, but in their case, it’s a good thing. They will be dancing in the month of March.
