Florida State Seminoles Are Hot Entering the ACC Tournament

Florida State had an extremely disappointing season after starting out the year ranked in the top 25.  Michael Snaer returned for his senior year after leading his team to an ACC tournament championship last year.

This year, the Seminoles have zero shot of getting an at-large bid into the NCAA tournament and will need to repeat as ACC tournament champs in order to get back to the big dance, but can they do it?

They enter the tournament as the six seed which isn’t too bad normally, but when your road to the ACC tournament title will most likely be North Carolina in the quarter-finals, Duke in the semi-finals and Miami (FL) in the championship, it is not the greatest draw.

The Seminoles enter on a mini two-game winning streak that has to give them a tad bit of confidence.  Both wins came against quality teams in Virginia and North Carolina State, but both wins also came at home.

In the ACC tournament, you don’t get any home games and when your playing in the state of North Carolina, it turns into a road game when you play Duke and North Carolina.

Lets just say that if they some how pull off a miracle and go on a great run to win the conference tournament, they deserve to be in the NCAA tournament.

Snaer will need to carry the Seminoles who have a couple of other players who can play, like Okaro White and Ian Miller, but they don’t have the depth they had last season to make a run.

They enter with some confidence, but I just can’t see in any way, shape or form, the Florida State Seminoles repeating what they did last season with a worse team.
