Miami Hurricanes Could Be On Upset Alert In ACC Tournament

The Miami Hurricanes will enter the ACC tournament as the No. 1 seed, but they could be on upset alert.

Miami will definitely cruise to victory in its first game of the conference tournament, since it will be against either Boston College or Georgia Tech. However, the Hurricanes did just go down to the Yellow Jackets. Don’t expect that to happen again. Expect an upset in the very next round, though.

The Hurricanes have not been playing very good basketball as of late, losing three out of their last five games. The only good team they lost to during that span was the Duke Blue Devils. The team they did manage to beat during that span was Clemson.

Miami will most likely have to play either North Carolina State or Virginia in its second game of the tournament. Virginia is fighting for a tournament bid and at times, North Carolina State is a top team in college basketball. It just matters which Wolfpack team decides to show up that night.

You do not want to enter postseason play cold and that is exactly what Miami is doing. Sure, it won its last game of the season, but there is definitely cause for concern when you get beat by Wake Forest and then get upset by Georgia Tech two games later at home. The Hurricanes earned a No. 1 seed in the ACC tournament, but Duke is the best team in the conference right now. If the Hurricanes can get hot, then that is great, but all signs are not pointing towards that.

The ACC is not an easy conference to play in, which is why the Hurricanes are on upset alert.
