2013 NCAA Tournament Preview: No. 12 Oregon vs. No. 4 Saint Louis

The No. 12 Oregon Ducks made a statement against No. 5 Oklahoma State. Obviously, someone did not like the Ducks this year because they should have earned a much higher seed than a 12. None of that matters now because they are advancing to the third round and will take on the No. 4 Saint Louis Billikens.

Saint Louis had a very impressive game in its first of the 2013 NCAA Tournament, beating No. 13 New Mexico State by 20 points. Although the Billikens will be the much lower seed in this one, expect a great game.

What to Watch For

Oregon shot its fair share of threes against Oklahoma State, with 21 in the game, but the Ducks were able to knock down eight. If they can knock down shots from behind the arc, they very well could advance to the Sweet 16.

Dwayne Evans on the other hand did not attempt a single three and still managed to score 24 points. His six rebounds was a nice touch as well, despite the fact that he is averaging 7.7 on the season.

If Evans can have another performance like that, the Ducks are going to have to sink a lot of threes to even stay in the game.

Prediction

This game could literally go either way, but I am going with the Billikens. No disrespect to Oregon because this is a great Saint Louis team that has won five games in a row and 16 of 17. This is a team that just held its first team in the Big Dance to just 27.9 percent from the field.

Saint Louis 70 Oregon 63
