2013 NCAA Tournament Preview: No. 1 Indiana vs. No. 9 Temple

No. 1 Indiana may be the huge favorites going into the third round after beating No. 16 James Madison, but they better not take the No. 9 Temple Owls lightly.

The Owls took down the No. 8 North Carolina State Wolfpack today and helped to make the Atlantic 10 6-0 in the NCAA Tournament so far. Not too bad for a mid-major conference.

Temple was able to pull off the victory even with C.J. Leslie and Lorenzo Brown both combining for 42 points in the game.

What to Watch For

Khalif Wyatt was in beast mode against the Wolfpack, going off for 31 points. If he can knock down his threes and have another good performance, Temple could easily upset the Hoosiers.

However, Indiana has a couple of good players on its team. You may have heard of them. There is Cody Zeller and Victor Oladipo for starters, but Will Sheehey, Jordan Hulls and Yogi Ferrell could also have a big impact in this game. People tend to forget about Christian Watford, who can easily be the best player on the court at times.

The Hoosiers are stacked with talent, which is a pretty big reason why they have been one of the best teams all season.

Prediction

Temple is good, but it is not good enough to beat Indiana. The Owls played a North Carolina State team that had no life in the first half, whereas the Hoosiers will come out with a lot of intensity once the ball is tipped. Zeller and Oladipo will both come up big and they have plenty of role players to help them out.

Indiana 82 Temple 65
