2013 NCAA Tournament Preview: No. 12 Ole Miss vs No. 5 Wisconsin
Sometimes the NCAA Tournament has a game that piques one’s interest more than others. Usually the 12-5 match-up is one folks are always going to pay attention to. Known widely for upset filled basketball, a 12-5 game is always a highlight in the first weekend of the big dance. Even more so, this Ole Miss Rebels vs Wisconsin Badgers game has everything a viewing audience would want to quench their basketball thirsts.
What to Watch for
Marshall Henderson, all him all the time. No matter which side you fall on the Henderson is polarizing talk, he is undoubtedly much watch TV. Being the world’s funnest volume-shooter, his antics only take a backseat to his ability to put points up in bunches. If Ole Miss is thinking about making it to the next round they will need Henderson to be a little more efficient than his field goal percentage indicates (.38 percent).
Wisconsin needs to not get caught up in the Henderson hoopla. While he is the Rebels’ premiere basket-maker, he is not the only player who is worth his own salt. The Badgers need to keep Murphy Holloway off the glass as well as limiting his Henderson misses put-back buckets.
I am a known Henderson homer. So this pick might be more “want” than actual insight or observation The NCAA Tournament is a place where stars shine and no star likes the limelight more than Henderson.
