2013 NCAA Tournament Preview: No. 15 Pacific vs No. 2 Miami

By the time the Miami Hurricanes vs the Pacific Tigers tips off, you will have hopefully had your fair share in some NCAA Tournament shenanigans  Not all games are going to be worth your viewing pleasure which is unfortunately unavoidable in the early rounds due to seedings. It’s not that Pacific is horrible, but the styles of play that differ so much that it will make this game unwatchable. Now that I’ve said that, expect this game to be epic.

What to Watch For

Miami probably overachieved this season, however, that doesn’t mean they are not a legit threat to go deep in the big dance. Shane Larkin happens to be their catalyst for everything Hurricane hoops related. If Larkin has a typical Larkin game, well, this game might be over shortly after the ball is tossed in the air by a zebra.

Pacific was not even the best team in a so-so conference. If the Tigers expect to hang with the big boys they will need nearly every player in their roster to have the game of their lives. Yes, everyone–even the bench players whipping a towel around every moment one of their teammates does something good.

It is what it is here. Miami is just better in every facet in the game. Do I believe in miracles? You bet your sweet rear, but I don’t believe one will happen here.

Miami 76 Pacific 59
