Will Colorado Buffaloes Andre Roberson Skip Senior Year For NBA Draft?

Jim Cowsert-USA TODAY Sports

Will Andre Roberson be skipping his senior year for the Colorado Buffaloes and enter the 2013 NBA Draft?

Whether the case, he easily has the talent to get drafted.

Roberson is a freak when it comes to rebounding and that is about it, other than his defensive abilities. That is not a bad thing, he is just really good at rebounding the ball and playing defense.

On the season, Roberson averaged 10.9 points per game and 11.2 rebounds per game. During the regular season, Roberson was second in college basketball in rebounding, so I think you get the point on that aspect of his game.

Roberson will be a little undersized at the power forward position at the next level, but that is not the end of the world or else he wouldn’t likely be getting drafted in the first place. He made 19 threes on the year, which is something that his future NBA team should work on him with. If he could get that shot down, Roberson could be dangerous at the next level.

NBA scouts would most likely have liked to see Roberson put up more points per game this season, but guess what? He put up .7 points per game less. Not to mention, he shot worse from the field. He may have shot 58 percent from the field his freshman season, but that is a stat that decreased every year. Let’s not even talk about his free-throw shooting because it is that bad.

Still, Roberson would not be wrong for wanting to declare for the draft. He has been one of the best players on Colorado for the past two seasons and he would get picked up in this year’s draft if he decides to declare.
