Colorado Buffaloes’ Andre Roberson Will Enter 2013 NBA Draft
#CUBuffs forward Andre Roberson has made it official. He’s turning pro and ending one of the best careers in school history.

There was really no wrong decision for Roberson when it came to either playing his final year with the Buffaloes or entering the draft. Roberson had a great junior year with Colorado, putting up 10.9 points per game and grabbing 11.2 rebounds per game.
It all comes down to whether if the player thinks he is ready for the NBA or not and whether if that player wants to stay with his team or try to get drafted. In Roberson’s case, it seems like he wanted to leave school early or else he would not be entering the draft. Luckily for Roberson, he is one of the best rebounders in the draft and he will get picked up by some NBA team.
Colorado should still be a good team next season, but Roberson is clearly a big loss for the team. He was arguably the best player on the team, thanks to his defensive and rebounding abilities, which should transition over nicely at the next level.
Only time will tell on where Roberson will get drafted, but there is definitely plenty of teams out there that want him. As a result, I thought he made the right decision in declaring because it would have been hard for him to increase his stock if he would have returned for his final season in college basketball.
11.2 rebounds per game will be very hard for Colorado to make up, but it will move on just like every team has done in the history of college basketball when it has lost one of its best players.
