Louisville Cardinals Rick Pitino’s Life is Better Than Yours
Some folks have all the luck in the world. Things just always seem to go their way. It is like these people can take any situation, regardless of how good or bad it is, and turn it into a form of gold. To be fair to those people, though, it is likely a combination of good luck as well as hard work that has allowed them to even be put in those kinds of situations to begin with.
No one has been able to capitalize on the moment as of late more than Louisville Cardinals coach Rick Pitino. There is that obvious winning the National Championship evidence that happens to stick out like a sore thumb, but there is a slew of other awesome things that have been happening in (yes, in) and around Pitino for some time now.
Pitino has transformed his image as a man who cheated on his wife in a chain-restaurant back into a guy folks are proud to call a good man. It only seemed like yesterday people wanted to write off the coach after that whole ‘sex in a restaurant’ debacle broke.
The once gleam in his eyes, Richard Pitino, also proves that Pitino’s life is better than ours. His son just landed a coaching gig at a big program — I, on the other hand, am proud when my daughters color inside the lines. Once again, Pitino wins (well, at least against my kids).
He also got a brand new tattoo put on his body and it actually does not look atrocious. I think we would be hard pressed to find another man of his age who could pull such a feat off.
Those are only a (very) few examples as to why Pitino’s life is better than ours (mine, mostly). I happened to leave out Pitino snagging a huge fish lately, being inducted into the Hall of Fame this September, having horses that run in the Kentucky Derby, still being considered “hip” by some despite his age and, of course, his ability to look more and more like Al Pacino every day.
Okay, I guess there are some aspects in his life that he is not exactly “winning”. Still, I think it is safe to say Pitino is having a swell time doing things he loves — all while doing all of them very well.
