The 2013 offseason has been a roller coaster ride for Arizona men’s basketball head coach Sean Miller. Front court standout Solomon Hill graduated, forward Grant Jerrett declared for the NBA Draft, five-star recruit Aaron Gordon signed and Angelo Chol transferred because of it.
What happened next must have pleased Miller after the tumultuous months.
John Gershon of Scout.com reported via Twitter that former Kansas Jayhawk forward Zach Peters will sign with Arizona after multiple injuries ended his short stint in Lawrence, Kan.
Got a good tip while in Dallas. Former Kansas forward Zach Peters is headed to Arizona.

What does this mean for Miller? He can coach again. Chol transferred because he was worried about his playing time with incoming freshmen and transfers, and I’m sure the reasons were the same for Jerrett when deciding to enter the NBA Draft. Now Miller has a front court that’s willing and able to play at an elite level, and most should be able to find their roles quickly. Peters will have to earn playing time in Arizona, but Miller never fails to utilize talent on the bench in some capacity.
Good for Arizona, and good for Miller. From what started as an unbelievable offseason turned into the building of a future Pac-12 champion. Miller will be able to center his front court minutes around returning sophomores Brandon Ashley and Kaleb Tarczewski and develop Gordon into the All-American forward he is destined to become.
