Georgia Tech junior guard Brandon Reed will transfer to another school to complete his eligibility according to the Yellow Jackets head coach Brian Gregory.
Reed will transfer after he graduates at the end of the summer term.
He started the first 15 games of the season for Georgia Tech, but his lack of performance knocked him out of his starting spot. For the season, Gregory averaged 5.2 points per game and was a very good outside shooter.
Reed came to Georgia Tech after transferring from Arkansas State, and in his two combined seasons he started in 43 games and averaged 6.4 points per game.
A player with starting experience as an underclassman at a power conference school will definitely gain attention from other schools. He is a great player who just needs to find his way, and when he does he can be a big addition to whatever team takes a chance on him.
He has one more year left of eligibility and he is undecided about where he will spend it at, but wherever he decides to go, he will see playing time.
I would assume he would decide to transfer to a smaller, non-power conference school so he can play a lot more. As a freshman at Arkansas State, he played a lot more minutes than as a sophomore and junior at Georgia Tech.
If he wants to be a huge factor to a team he will attend a smaller school, but no matter what he will be a nice fit to any team he joins.
