Gordon’s decision to transfer marks the second such time he will be switching schools since originally beginning his career at Liberty prior to the 2009-10 season. After two years with the Flames, Gordon decided to head west, landing at Arizona State. After averaging 12 and 14 points respectively in each of his first two seasons at Liberty — Gordon’s offensive numbers went down this past.  The 6-foot-1 guard averaged 10.1 points, 2.9 rebounds and 2.2 assists per game this past season.

Gordon is a nice back court addition for the Hoosiers and he will be eligible immediately as a graduate student. While the Hoosiers must replace a good amount of production from a team that failed to advance further than the Sweet 16 despite soaring expectations, Gordon should provide some experienced stability in the back court alongside sophomore point guard Yogi Ferrell.

While Gordon becomes the second such member of his family to head to Bloomington, there ironically enough is a third brother on the up-and-up. Eron Gordon is considered one of the top prospects within the high school class of 2016 and the Hoosiers are very much alive in the early stages of his recruitment.
