Memphis Tigers And Oklahoma State Cowboys To Play Two

The Memphis Tigers and Oklahoma State Cowboys are set to play two games against each other in college basketball.

These two games will be played in back-to-back years during the regular season.

What a matchup this will be, at least for the upcoming season. The Oklahoma State Cowboys will have a very talented basketball team that could very well be the best in the Big 12. There are a few very talented players returning to the team, including Marcus Smart.

The Memphis Tigers of today may not seem as good as the John Calipari coached teams of the past, but the Tigers are starting to become a great team in college hoops once again. 31 wins on the season proves that. However, the Tigers were not able to get out of the round of 32 in the 2013 NCAA Tournament.

As for the Cowboys, they entered this year’s dance as a No. 5 seed, but were upset in their first game of the tourney.

This matchup should be played in a March Madness type of atmosphere against two really good college basketball teams. Entering the season, Oklahoma State will probably be the best team on paper out of the two, but who knows who will actually win the contest.

Whether the case, it is always great to see two solid programs going head-to-head–who are not part of the same conference–during the regular season. This game will be a huge momentum booster for whoever wins. The best part about it is the fact that we get to see these two teams battling it out for the next two seasons.
