Yes, the 2013-14 college basketball season is months away, but if you are an avid college hoops fan like I am, talking college ball does not bother you one bit. With that said, let’s get down to business. The Arizona Wildcats need to get off to another hot start in the upcoming season.

This past season, Arizona started off the year by winning 14 straight games. This included victories against Florida, Miami and San Diego State. You may have heard of those three schools, since they are kind of popular when it comes to college sports.

Anyways, once the Wildcats started off Pac-12 play, they came back down to reality. With a hot start, many people thought that Arizona would win a Pac-12 title, it would be a No. 1 seed in the 2013 NCAA Tournament and it would make a Final Four run. Literally none of that happened, which is cool I guess. I am clearly not head coach Sean Miller’s boss, but if he has another disappointing season next year, I can see him getting canned. Miller is a great coach and he is a recruiting machine, but programs want championships and they want them now.

Any coach can get fired at any time. For the coaches that coach for Syracuse, Florida, Michigan State, Duke, North Carolina and some others, don’t listen to a word I said in the last sentence.

For the fans, Arizona needs to get off to a hot start, but this time, they need to stay hot so they can earn a good seed in the Big Dance. Playing Ohio State in the Sweet 16 wasn’t really ideal for this team, but it happened regardless.

The Wildcats will be losing some talent, but the expectations will still be there and this team has to get off to another good start.
