A Look at Massachusetts Minutemen’s Incoming Recruiting Class
The Massachusetts Minutemen do not have any big time recruits joining their team for the 2013-14 college basketball season, but that does not mean that fans can’t get excited about the incoming freshmen. With that said, let’s take a look at the 2013 recruiting class.
Joining the team will be two 3-stars and a 2-star.
There will be plenty of great players returning to the team, but there will also be some talented ones leaving, which means some of these freshmen could play some big roles. At this point, that is just speculation, though, because who knows what roles these players will actually play and how good they will be at the college level.
Still, landing two 3-stars is pretty impressive and you would think that the incoming recruits would be the future of this team. I mean, that is usually how it works.
Massachusetts missed out on the 2013 NCAA Tournament, but it still competed in the Atlantic 10 Conference. Not to mention, it earned a No. 2 seed in the NIT, which shows that it was not too far away from dancing. However, a loss in the first game of the tourney did not look good whatsoever.
With some good talent returning to the team and a pretty decent recruiting class coming in, the Minutemen are set to have another good season. Saying that this team will make the 2014 NCAA Tournament is not a huge stretch whatsoever. Who knows if this team will win a conference title or anything like that, but it should still compete in the upcoming season regardless.
