North Carolina State Wolfpack's Lorenzo Brown's Draft Stock

North Carolina State may have not met expectations in the 2012-13 college basketball season, but they still had plenty of NBA talent on their team. One of those players was Lorenzo Brown and his draft stock is all over the place at this point.

There are mock drafts out there that have him going in the high 30s, while others have him going in the low 30s. even has him coming out of the first round at the No. 24 pick. So yeah, his stock is definitely all over the place.

Brown is a great talent and he easily could go in the first round and I think he should. He may need some work on his offensive game, only scoring 12.4 points per game on the year, but he is a great point guard to say the least. He did put up 7.2 assists per game and 4.3 rebounds per game.

He is a point guard, so his 6’5” height is going to be a huge benefit at the next level.

However, the fact that he was less efficient from the field and from behind the arc this past season is a little concerning. He dropped all the way down to 26.3 percent from the three-point line (35.1 percent last year).

Still, Brown is a great field general and he could definitely make it at the next level for this reason. It helps that he also had two steals per game, which shows his defensive worth.

The draft stock may be all over the place at this point, but Brown is still a great player that will eventually hear his name being called at the 2013 NBA Draft.
