This may come as a huge surprise to many people, but the Southern Miss Golden Eagles were not the best team in college basketball this past season. Still, they were a great team and they just missed out on making the 2013 NCAA Tournament. With that said, Dwayne Davis was their best player and he is definitely worthy of making an NBA team.

Davis will likely not get drafted, but there is still always that chance, especially if teams keep looking at him. If a team is worried about another team signing Davis after the draft, a bidding war for him will take place or he could simply go late in the second round. Of course, that is all speculation though. There still are NBA teams looking at him regardless.

Davis managed to score 16 points per game in his only season with Southern Miss. He is 6’5” and it helps that he made 48.9 percent of his shots from the field and 41.3 percent of his shots from behind the arc. 59 made threes are also not too shabby.

Sure, there are plenty of other players that are more talented, have more potential and you name it, than Davis. That could mean something and it could not. He is still a great player and he has a lot of talent himself. Who knows if he will actually make an impact at the next level or if he will even get picked up by a team, but there is always that possibility of it happening.

If any team is looking for a good shooter, though, Davis is their man and people better believe that he is worthy of making an NBA team.
