Watch Out For Villanova Wildcats’ Three Leading Scorers In Upcoming Season

The Villanova Wildcats have a lot of talent to make some noise in the 2013-14 college basketball season. With that said, the three leading scorers on this team will be ones to watch out for in the upcoming season.

JayVaughn Pinkston, Darrun Hilliard and Ryan Arcidiacono were the three leading scorers on the team this past season and all three of them will be back for yet another year.

Pinkston will get a lot of hype, as he should. He did lead the team in scoring with 13.3 points per game. He also grabbed five boards per game. Hilliard and Arcidiacono both averaged over 11 points per game on the season.

Believe it or not, this could be one of the best three-man combos in the Big East in the 2013-14 season. Sure, Villanova will not get as much hype as a lot of the teams coming in, but these three helped lead the Wildcats to an NCAA tournament appearance last season. With more consistency, they could be a very dangerous team that challenges for a Big East title.

However, all three will have to get better, but they will have another year of experience on their belt and could possibly play with each other for two more years. If that is the case, Villanova could be really good in two years, but it should have a better team than last season just for the fact that these three players will be returning.

This is a team that is coming off of a 20-win season and it could easily have more victories in the upcoming college hoops season. It is the three players mentioned above, though, that will definitely play a big part in that.
