The Michigan Wolverines had two players enter the 2013 NBA Draft. When the night was over, both of those players landed on an NBA team. However, the same may be the case for next year’s draft.
Trey Burke went in the top 10–as expected–being the No. 9 pick overall and Tim Hardaway Jr. had to wait for his name to be called a little longer, being the No. 24 pick. Hopefully both players can have as much success in the NBA as they did while playing for Michigan, but the important thing right now is the fact that they both got picked up.

Burke had a lot of hype coming into the draft, being the National Player of the Year and all in the 2012-13 college basketball season and Hardaway Jr. was a lock to get picked up.
Next year, two Michigan players could have just as much hype as the two that will be playing in the NBA next season. Those two players are Mitch McGary and Glenn Robinson III. Both of them easily would have been drafted, but one more year in college should do them good. Not to mention, the Wolverines will have plenty of talent on the team outside of Robinson III and McGary, so another national championship appearance is certainly not impossible.
Who really knows where either of these players will go, especially with all of the highly rated freshmen joining college hoops. Whether the case, as long as they perform, they should have no problem getting picked up in the 2014 NBA Draft.
Michigan is on the rise and two players getting drafted in this year’s draft is evident of that. Next year should be the same case, but who knows, maybe more than two Wolverines will decide to declare for the big leagues.
