Could Le’Bryan Nash Be the Best Player On the Oklahoma State Cowboys?

The Oklahoma State Cowboys should enter the 2013-14 college basketball season in the top 10 of the rankings. A big reason for that is Marcus Smart returning to the team, but believe me, he is not the only good player coming back. Le’Bryan Nash is another talented player for this team. Could he be the best player on Oklahoma State in the upcoming season?

Nash will have pretty high expectations entering the year, but no one on this team will have as much expectations as Smart, which could be a good or bad thing.

If Smart averages less points per game or if a player like Nash takes over this team and scores more points, Smart’s NBA draft stock could very well go down.

Nash was the third highest scorer on the team this past season, with 14 points per game. If he can get better from behind the arc, he will be that much better. Nash only shot 50 threes, but he also only made 12 of them.

Markel Brown and Smart were, of course, the two players that averaged more points per game. All three of these players will be expected to carry the load for the Cowboys.

However, Nash is just as good as anyone on this team and with an even better season, he could be considered the best player on Oklahoma State, which would definitely help with his draft stock.

Although many people are predicting Smart to lead Oklahoma State to victory, Nash very well could be that guy. With that said, this is not a bad problem for this team to have and the expectation meter is at a high for the Cowboys.
