ACC Title In Store For Duke Blue Devils In Upcoming Season?

Duke Blue Devils

Jamie Rhodes-USA TODAY Sports

The Duke Blue Devils earned a No. 2 seed in the 2013 NCAA Tournament, but they still managed to finish one game back in the ACC standings. Although three senior leaders will no longer be on the team, Duke is set to be a top 10 team once again, so is an ACC title in store for the Blue Devils in the 2013-14 college basketball season?

Rasheed Sulaimon will likely be the new scorer leader of this team, since he did manage to put up 11.6 points per game last season. However, Quinn Cook scored .1 points more than that per game and he will also be back.

Sulaimon is one heck of a shooter, though, and he could easily be one of the best players in the country in the upcoming season. Jabari Parker joining the team is a huge reason why Duke is predicted to be so good. Parker will likely be a one-and-done player and there is no reason why he would not start as a freshman.

There will be other role players retuning to the team as well. Not to mention, Mississippi State transfer Rodney Hood will hit the court and he could easily make the starting lineup.

Whether the case, this is going to be a very talented Duke team.

Still, Notre Dame, Syracuse, North Carolina and others will be talented enough to challenge for a conference title. It is the Blue Devils, though, that have the most hype coming in and will likely enter the season as the team to beat in the ACC.
