Which Player Will Need To Emerge On the Seton Hall Pirates?

You could say that the Seton Hall Pirates weren’t the best team in the 2012-13 college basketball season. They finished with a 15-18 record overall and 3-15 Big East record. If they have any hope in the upcoming season, freshman Jaren Sina will have to emerge.

Considering that Sina is the starting point guard, which he should be with Aaron Cosby leaving, the team will be counting on him to make an instant impact.

Sina is not the most highly rated recruit in college hoops, but he is still a good one and the Pirates will definitely take him.

It will help that leading scorer Fuquan Edwin will be back, along with big man Eugene Teague. If all three of those players can step up their game, Seton Hall could win more games in the upcoming season. Well, we don’t even know how Sina will be since he has not touched the court yet, but you get the point–he needs to produce.

The Big East Conference will not be as brutal as it has been in year’s past, which should help, but it is still very tough to rebound from a season like Seton Hall just had.

The Pirates are not expected to win the conference or anything near that, but they could still pull off some upsets here and there if Sina produces as the new field general.

One player does not make a team–unless if that player is Andrew Wiggins–so it is not like Sina will lead this team to a national championship or anything like that, but a good season out of him will have this program heading in the right direction.
