The name Luke Kennard is one that is quickly becoming recognizable on the recruiting trail and this past weekend, he showcased the best of his potential, thus far.

While playing with King James AAU on the open circuit, Kennard has shined as a member of the class of 2015 and his recruitment has taken a delightful turn that could propel him to being one of the top targets in his class when all is said and done. Over the weekend, the 6-foot-5 shooting guard scored offers from Duke, Kentucky and Michigan State and those three juggernauts are just the latest to offer a free ride.

Other schools such as Ohio State, Indiana and Michigan have already been involved in his recruitment process and at this point, there’s no denying the fact that things will continue to pick up for Kennard. There’s no doubt that Kennard has been one of the most highly-sought after prospects within the class of 2015 even before this July’s live period, but things have certainly picked up recently. Prior to this month, ESPN had listed Kennard at No. 30 overall within the class of 2015, while Rivals labeled him at No. 21. Those numbers may jump even more so thanks to a stellar summer that’s just now about halfway over.

Kennard has a unique skill set and someday he will make one collegiate program very happy. An original native of Ohio, Kennard currently attends Franklin High School (OH).
