Could Michigan Wolverines Be Even Better In 2013-14 College Basketball Season?
The Michigan Wolverines will be losing their best player for the 2013-14 college basketball season. However, plenty of talent will be back and the team will have a completely different identity. So, could the Wolverines be even better in the upcoming season?
Considering that Mitch McGary broke out in the 2013 NCAA Tournament, Nik Stauskas is arguably an even better shooter than Tim Hardaway Jr. and the fact that this team could be just as talented as last year’s, Michigan could easily be better next season.
The key for this team will be finding a player that can replace Trey Burke. Of course, no one will actually be able to replace Burke completely since he was arguably the best player in college hoops. However, a field general taking over the offense will be key.
Although Michigan will be losing some talent, so will other teams in the Big Ten. As a result, the conference will be wide open.
The Wolverines will look much different in the upcoming season and will not have as much firepower from behind the arc, but that does not mean that this team will not be as good. Replacing the two leading scorers is never an easy thing, but when a team has as much talent as the Wolverines do, it makes it a whole lot easier.
It helps that the front court could be very dominating.
Whether if it is the incoming freshmen or the returning players, Michigan will be stacked once again and could be even better in the upcoming season. That is kind of saying a lot, considering that this team made the championship game this past season.
