Where Will the Villanova Wildats Finish In the Big East In the Upcoming Season?

Villanova Wildcats

The Villanova Wildcats will be a very tough team to predict in the 2013-14 college basketball season. However, where will they finish in the Big East?

Nothing is certain about this conference next year. Literally, at least six teams will compete for a conference title and it would not be a surprise if any of those six teams won the Big East.

Many people would probably like to say that Marquette or Georgetown would win the conference, and rightfully so, but the conference has much more to offer.

JayVaughn Pinkston will be returning, which is a huge plus since he did lead the team in scoring and all, with 13.3 points per game. If he can breakout, other players emerge and a couple of freshmen have an impact, Villanova could win the conference. That is a lot of “ifs”, but the Wildcats will be a good team regardless.

I am going to go out on a slight whim and say that the Wildcats finish in fourth place in the conference standings. They could easily finish higher and they could easily finish lower. It is really hard to tell how good of a team Villanova will be until the season actually starts.

For it to finish in fourth, though, it will have to pass up some really good teams in the Big East.

Still, Villanova is coming off of a season where it finished with 20 wins and made the NCAA tournament as a No. 9 seed. Jay Wright is a great coach and his Wildcats could be back in the 2013-14 season.
