Trey Lyles is near the end of the process in deciding what school he will be going to for the 2014-15 season, but he realized something was missing.

Lyles, a top-10 recruit who is a 6-foot-10 power forward, has narrowed his list down to Butler, Florida, Kentucky and Louisville. Clearly, the five-star recruit will be taking his talents to one of the best schools in the nation when he makes his decision, but there is one school he wishes he was recruited by.

Over Twitter, Lyles expressed that he wishes Roy Williams would have recruited him to go to Chapel Hill and attend the University of North Carolina.

Whether it’s a last-minute beg for Carolina to offer him or just a thought that came across his mind, it is very unlikely he will get an offer from UNC despite the skillset he brings as a big man.

The list of big men expected to be on the Carolina roster when Lyles would be a freshman is extremely deep. James Michael McAdoo, Kennedy Meeks, Brice Johnson, Desmond Hubert, Joel James and Isaiah Hicks could all still be on the roster for that season.

All six of those big men are extremely talented and could very well see quality minutes this season. So as much as Lyles wants to go to UNC, he would still most likely play as a freshman, and the decision by Carolina to offer him simply wouldn’t be a smart one considering the existing personnel on the team.
