Florida Gators’ Underrated Freshmen Could Have A Huge Impact

Florida Gators

Two freshmen will be joining the Florida Gators in the 2013-14 college basketball season. They both are very highly rated recruits. However, they are underrated in the sense that no one seems to be talking about Florida’s 2013 recruiting class. That could have something to do with the NFL season starting back up soon, but I beg to differ.

With that said, Florida’s freshmen could have a huge impact right off of the bat.

Those two players that I am talking about are Kasey Hill and Chris Walker (might not be eligible to play). Hill is the No. 10 ranked recruit in his class and Walker is the No. 12 ranked recruit, according to ESPN.

Basically, these two players could start for anyone in the country. However, just like other powerhouses in college hoops, many great players will be coming back for the Gators. Most notably will be Patric Young who could be one of the best centers in the entire country.

Don’t mind the fact that he is only 6’9”, because he is a freak of nature at 249 pounds. He also averaged 10.1 points per game and 6.3 rebounds per game last season.

Florida is certainly losing its fair share of players in the upcoming season, but enough are coming back for it to be ranked in the top 10 to tip off the season. Not to mention, some talented transfer players will be joining, and Hill and Walker have the potential to be starters.

As always, things are looking bright in Gainesville and the Gators are in search of a fourth straight Elite Eight appearance.
