Both Tyus Jones and Jahlil Okafor highlight the college basketball recruiting class of 2014. A potential package deal for one school is certainly not out of the question and in fact, it’s almost to be expected.
Well, on Tuesday afternoon, Jones tweeted out his visits for this upcoming fall and ironically enough, three schools will receive visits from both prospects on identical weekends. A fourth school also falls under this category, but on separate weekends. Among those who will have both Jones and Okafor on campus for official visits this fall include the Baylor Bears, the Kansas Jayhawks and the Duke Blue Devils. It remains to be seen which school has the best shot to land both of the top prospects, but some believe the Blue Devils could be that final destination. However, it’s a tad bit too early to speculate that far along.
Jones and Okafor will both visit Baylor during Labor Day weekend (Aug. 30 – Sep. 1), before tripping to Kansas during the weekend of Oct. 18-20 and Duke from Oct. 25-27. The fourth team in this potential equation is one that many are certainly not surprised to see within the thick of things with two of the nation’s top recruits. That of course is referring to the Kentucky Wildcats and head coach John Calipari. Both Okafor and Jones will visit Lexington this fall, but they will do so on separate occasions.
These two names have been ones to keep an eye on over the past several years now and things are undoubtedly about to heat up as the fall months near.
