The Colorado Buffaloes will be one of the best teams in the Pac-12 in the upcoming season and Askia Booker will have a lot to do with that.

No, he did not lead the team in points this past season, but he was the second leading scorer. Spencer Dinwiddie was the scoring leader on the team with 15.3 points per game. Booker put up 12.4 points per game.

Together, these two will make up one of the best backourts in the Pac-12 and the nation for that matter.

Booker shot 36.4 percent from the field this past season and 31.2 percent from behind the arc. Although he led the team with 49 made threes, his shooting percentage from deep range is not all that appealing. It is never easy improving your shot, especially at this level, but it would be huge if Booker could do that.

You can expect the Buffs to compete for a conference title and you can also expect them to make the 2014 NCAA Tournament. If they do dance once again, it would be the third season in a row that they did so, showing that they are a team on the rise in college hoops.

Basketball is clearly a team sport, but Booker will play a huge role on Colorado once again in the 2013-14 season. If he can repeat his success, the team could be really good.

As good as Booker or anyone else on this team will be, getting past Arizona in the conference standings will not be an easy feat.
