A Look At Ole Miss Rebels’ Ladarius White For the Upcoming Season

Ole Miss Rebels

The Ole Miss Rebels will be an interesting team in the 2013-14 college basketball season. Regardless, Ladarius White will be back for another season.

White put up 6.4 points and three rebounds per game last year. He shot 40.3 percent from the field and 35.1 percent from behind the arc.

Depending on if Marshall Henderson is allowed to play or not, White will have to have a big season. Henderson is the leader of this team and he is a shooting machine. He scored 20.1 points per game last season, which was a big reason why Ole Miss had the seventh ranked offense in college hoops.

If Henderson does not take the court in the 2013-14 season, the Rebels will likely be in trouble. As a result, White should be working on his game like crazy because his role could get much bigger. Even if Henderson does play, Ole Miss is losing a couple of very talented players.

White stands at 6’6”, which is the ideal height for the shooting guard position. Getting more attempts in the upcoming season would be huge, as he only shot 77 threes this year–made 27.

He is a pretty accurate shooter in his own right, but there is always room for improvement.

The returning players will have to do a lot for this team to dance, as Ole Miss made the NCAA tournament as a No. 10 seed this past season. One of those players will clearly have to be White. Keep in mind, he did only average 20.9 minutes per game, so he could receive more playing time, which would help with his production on the court.
