Ramon Galloway was by far the best player for the La Salle Explorers this past season and he was easily one of the best players in the Atlantic 10. Unfortunately, he will no longer be on the team. However, Tyreek Duren will be.

Duren was the second leading scorer this past season, averaging 14.2 points per game. He also dished out 3.3 assists per game, shot 45.5 percent from the field and 38.5 percent from behind the arc.

With those kinds of shooting stats he should definitely be the go-to guy in the 2013-14 season. He made 47 threes this past year, but he could easily have a lot more with more attempts.

The A 10 will be a very competitive conference once again and although the Explorers are not getting as much love this offseason as they could be getting, a conference title, or at least competing for one, is not out of the question.

However, it will have to finish better than VCU and Saint Louis (among other teams) in the conference standings. That is a tough feat and losing Galloway will not be easy on La Salle.

Still, Duren has the talent to be one of the best players in the conference and he should have a big season, especially if he is the new go-to guy.

La Salle won 24 games last season and earned a bid to the NCAA tournament. That many wins and a tournament appearance will have to be earned in the upcoming season and players like Duren will have to come up big.
