A Couple of Gems On Arizona State Sun Devils’ Non-Conference Schedule
The Arizona State Sun Devils will be good enough to dance in the 2013-14 college basketball season. Before that can happen, though, they must rack up the wins and there are definitely some gems on their non-conference schedule.
The Bluejays will be a good team once again and you better believe that Doug McDermott will be back for his last season in college hoops. McDermott alone would be a challenge for the Sun Devils, but he is not the only talented player returning.
The Golden Eagles lose their best player, but will still compete for a Big East title and may even be the team to beat in the conference entering the season.
Out of all three of the teams mentioned above, the Rebels easily have the most question marks, but they will still be talented.
Arizona State will have some weapons this season, like returning leading scorer Jahii Carson. He put up 18.5 points per game last season and could be one of the best scorers in college hoops. Although him and McDermott play different positions, they will be a great scoring matchup once Arizona State and Creighton take the court against each other.
The Sun Devils will have to earn their bid to the 2014 NCAA Tournament with some tough teams on their schedule. However, no one should count them out of any game.
