The DePaul Blue Demons will not have an easy non-conference schedule in the 2013-14 college basketball season. This is especially true due to the fact that they only won 11 games last season.

DePaul will take on Wichita State, Arizona State, Northwestern and Southern Miss (among others).

The Blue Demons were horrible last season, but they will be returning some talent. Hopefully they can actually compete in the 2013-14 season, but you have to remember that this team finished 2-16 in the Big East last season. They were horrible. Simple as that.

They will likely lose against the Shockers, but what an upset that would be if Wichita State were to fall. DePaul will also be underdogs against Arizona State. Northwestern should be better than it was last season and Southern Miss just missed out on the NCAA tournament last season.

DePaul is not going to make the dance in the upcoming season. If it does shame on me. What a heck of a comeback that would be. It is not every year that a team finishes with just 11 wins and then makes the Big Dance the very next season.

Still, the Blue Demons will face some tough competition in their non-conference schedule and it will be interesting to see how that plays out for them.

Big East play will not be easy and that is bad news since this team did only win two games in conference play last season. There will be some question marks for DePaul and it will be interesting to see if it can bounce back.
