Toughest Matchup For the Wisconsin Badgers

The Wisconsin Badgers will compete for a Big Ten title in the 2013-14 college basketball season. Before they can get to conference play, they will have to play a very tough non-conference schedule. So what is there toughest matchup in that out-of-conference schedule?

How about the game against the Florida Gators. These two teams met up last year and Florida won with ease. The Gators will look much different in the upcoming season thanks to the top three leading scorer no longer being on the team, but they will still be a top 10 team.

Big man Patric Young will likely lead the charge for Florida, but their will be plenty of weapons outside of him.

As for Wisconsin, it will be returning some talent, but it will be as good as Sam Dekker makes them. Dekker had a great first year in college hoops, but he has the talent to be one of the best players in the nation. He averaged 9.6 points per game and 3.4 rebounds per game last season and only played 22.3 minutes per game.

The Badgers will get the Gators at home, which is good news for them.

This contest should be much closer this year than it was last season and either team could come away with the victory.

Wisconsin has a very tough non-conference schedule and will also play St. John’s, Marquette and Virginia (to name a few). With such a tough schedule, the Badgers will have to earn their ranking and bid to the NCAA tournament in the 2013-14 season.
