An Easier Non-Conference Schedule Is A Plus For Colorado State Rams
The Colorado State Rams will have the tough task of replacing five senior starters from last year’s NCAA tournament team. Luckily, they will have an easier non-conference schedule at least compared to teams such as the Kentucky Wildcats.
The toughest games to note on the out-of-conference schedule will be played against Gonzaga, UTEP, New Mexico State and Colorado.
The Rams were a No. 8 seed last season and finished second in the MWC standings. The team needs a miracle for them to do that once again in the 2013-14 college basketball season. There is not enough talent coming in to replace five players that averaged 8.4 points or more per game.
That feat becomes even more tough when you consider that all five of those guys were seniors. Yeah, it may not be the best season in the world for CSU.
Still, the team has a very manageable schedule in the upcoming season and a great home crowd to back it up.
The Bulldogs usually always compete in college hoops and the same will be the case this year. The contest will also be played on the road for Colorado State.
The Rams get the Buffaloes at home, but Colorado is going to be stacked. It loses Andre Roberson, but returns plenty of other talented players. It is a rivalry game, though, so you never know what will happen.
This will be an interesting year for the Rams. We will see what Larry Eustachy has up his sleeves and hopefully it is something good because this team could use some sort of magic.
