Arizona State Sun Devils Will Have Chance At Revenge In Non-Conference Schedule
The Arizona State Sun Devils were a pretty good team last year. The only blemish is the fact that it did not make the NCAA tournament, which may be a pretty big one depending on who you are talking to. Whether the case, the team will have a chance at revenge in their non-conference schedule.
Winning every game in non-conference play would be awesome and would have the Sun Devils ranked, but the revenge I am speaking of comes against the DePaul Blue Demons. Before you start scratching your head, just hear me out.
DePaul may have only won 11 games all of last season, but one of those victories was against Arizona State. Nonetheless, it was a 17-point loss for the Sun Devils. That is a resume killer right there and cannot happen once again in the 2013-14 college basketball season.
Another game that this team can get some revenge in is the game against the Creighton Bluejays. Creighton is a much different story than DePaul. For one, it won well over 11 games and made the dance. That was another double-digit loss for the Sun Devils, but the outcome could be much different this time around.
That is if they can get by Doug McDermott, who could lead the nation in scoring. Jahii Carson will also be in the talks for being the best scorer in college hoops as he averaged 18.5 points per game last season.
Whether the case, Arizona State could get some revenge early on in the season and the two victories mentioned above could play a big role when it gets closer to March.
