Pittsburgh Panthers Have A Very Easy Non-Conference Schedule

The Pittsburgh Panthers usually compete in college basketball on a yearly basis so you would expect them to have a solid non-conference schedule. Well, the out-of-conference schedule will be very easy in the 2013-14 college basketball season.

Pittsburgh will take on the Cincinnati Bearcats. And then it will take on… well, no one really. The Panthers may play a pretty good team in the Legends Classic, but a tough matchup is not set in stone.

The Bearcats will be getting back their best player in Sean Kilpatrick. If it weren’t for him, who knows how good this team would be. Kilpatrick is a solid player and will be one of the best ones in the country in the upcoming season.

The Panthers will be losing some talent in the upcoming season, so it will be interesting to see how they will fair. Luckily for this team, they will be playing in the ACC which will more than likely be the toughest conference in college hoops. That ACC schedule will naturally give Pittsburgh some fits and will match it up with some of the best teams in the nation.

However, it is still a bit disappointing to see the team not playing that great of competition in the non-conference schedule. It is not like this is a cupcake in college hoops or anything like that. Pittsburgh did earn a No. 8 seed in the Big Dance last season and that still was not really that solid for it.

We will see how this weak out-of-conference schedule plays out for the Panthers, but hopefully they can at least rack up the wins early on.
