Can the Baylor Bears Beat the Kentucky Wildcats For Second Straight Season?
The Baylor Bears and Kentucky Wildcats both had high expectations entering last season and both met each other early on desperately needing a big win. Baylor got that win, but can it knock off Kentucky two seasons in a row?
Well, the Bears will no longer have Pierre Jackson, who was arguably the best player on the team the past two seasons. Still, Isaiah Austin will be back along with some other talented players. Going into the season no one probably expected Austin to return for another year, but that is exactly what happened.
He has the talent to be one of the best players in the country and he will have to show that against the Wildcats if the Bears are going to win that game.
Kentucky will compete for a national championship thanks to a very good recruiting class coming in. Also, Willie Cauley-Stein and Alex Poythress are returning. As hard as it is to believe, this could be John Calipari’s most talented team. That is saying a lot since Anthony Davis was once a Wildcat and he helped lead Kentucky to a 38-2 record–plus a national championship.
The Bears are definitely talented enough to be one of the better teams in college hoops. They have top 10 potential, but it will be interesting to see if they can actually reach that level.
Baylor will be good enough to beat Kentucky, but I do not think that it will. The Wildcats have too much talent and will be looking to avenge their loss from last season.
