Looking At Wisconsin Badgers’ Non-Conference Schedule

Wisconsin Badgers

The Wisconsin Badgers will not have the toughest out-of-conference schedule out of the Big Ten teams, but they will still be challenged to say the least.

Wisconsin will play Florida, Marquette, Virginia and St. John’s in the upcoming season (to name a few). Those are really the only games that will have a major impact on the Badgers’ resume. However, if they slip up against a lesser opponent that would clearly affect them in a negative way.

The Badgers should handle the rest of their non-conference games with ease, though.

Wisconsin will also play in the Cancun Challenge, which will feature the Saint Louis Billikens.

There are plenty of cupcakes on Wisconsin’s schedule, but there are enough challenges as well. Florida is a top 10 team, while Marquette, Virginia and St. John’s all have the talent to be ranked. Out of all of these games, the one against the Gators will be the toughest, but that matchup will be played at home for the Badgers.

The contest against the Red Storm could be a great one as St. John’s will have the talent to win the Big East. In fact, no one should sleep on this team in the upcoming season because it could be Steve Lavin’s best one yet at the program.

There are other teams in the Big Ten that will be challenged more in their non-conference schedule, but there are more teams that will be challenged less. Wisconsin will be losing some talent, but great players will also be returning. If Sam Dekker can meet expectations the Badgers should be a solid team to say the least.
