The Wake Forest Demon Deacons were horrible last year, but they will still be tested in their non-conference schedule in the 2013-14 college basketball season.

The Demon Deacons could have used an easy out-of-conference schedule just for the fact that they could use every win that they can get. The finished last season with an overall record of 13-18 and an ACC record of 6-12. As you can imagine, that was not good enough to make the NCAA tournament.

Still, the team will play Xavier and Richmond this year and oh yeah, that one school named Kansas. Yes, the Jayhawks.

Wake Forest could very easily lose all three of those games and if they do not get any better that will likely be the case. It is pretty safe to say that the Demon Deacons will not upset Andrew Wiggins and the rest of the Jayhawks, but there are those things called miracles.

Xavier could be a top 25 team once again and Richmond should be a pretty intriguing team in the 2013-14 season to say the least. Other than those three games the non-conference schedule should be pretty manageable, but we are talking about Wake Forest here, so who knows.

It is important to note that the game against Kansas will be played in the Battle 4 Atlantis, so Wake Forest will likely play another quality team in that.

Hopefully this team can get better in the upcoming season, but who knows if that will be the case. It does not help that the ACC will be stacked with great teams this year.
