That depends on how good Andrew Wiggins and the rest of the incoming freshmen are. Sure, Wiggins may be the most talented player coming into college hoops, but he has not performed on the court yet. If he is everything he is supposed to be, then Kansas will probably be a pretty good basketball team.
Wiggins is not the only good freshmen joining the team and that will become apparent once the new season actually begins.
At the same time, they could win all of those game. If that is the case Kansas will be the No. 1 team in the country and will definitely benefit from playing such a tough non-conference schedule. I am sure it will not win all six of those games, though.
Kansas will have a very tough strength of schedule no matter how many non-conference schedule games it wins. That is always a huge boost to the resume. If it wins those games or at least most of them, then it was a good idea to have such a brutal schedule, but if it loses a lot of them, then the scheduling of some of the best teams in college hoops will prove to be a backfire.
The Jayhawks have to replace all five starters from last year’s team, so who knows how they will be in the upcoming season. The talent is definitely there for them to succeed, though.
