The Arizona Wildcats will likely enter the season by being ranked in the top 10. Needless to say, they will have a very talented team. However, what will be their biggest trap game in the 2013-14 college basketball season?

Arizona could very well run the tables in the upcoming season, but I doubt that will be the case. One of the biggest highlights of the Wildcats’ non-conference schedule will be against the Michigan Wolverines.

Michigan is coming off of a national championship appearance and will have the talent to be one of the best teams in the nation once again. With that said, Arizona cannot look too forward to that game. It has to take care of business against New Mexico State in the game before that.

The contest against Michigan could be a top five matchup, but New Mexico State is the perfect trap game. The Aggies won 24 games last season and made the NCAA tournament.

Arizona will without a doubt be the more talented team, but upsets happen all of the time in college hoops. I am sure the Wildcats will come away with the victory, but New Mexico State will be a tough opponent even if the game against the Wolverines will bring a lot more buzz.

The Wildcats are coming off of a 27-8 season and they, of course, made the Big Dance last year. The team could be even better in the 2013-14 season. Arizona will be the favorite to win the Pac-12 to start the season, but there will be plenty of teams that will be good enough to win the conference.
